Mary Poppins Tickets
Overview
Mary Poppins musical is a Walt Disney Theatrical production that was adapted from a 1964 Densely Walt movie and from a series of children books of the same name by novelist Pamela Lyndon Travers. The musical was first presented at London’s West End in 2004 and then a Broadway version was introduced in 2006. Mary Poppins was directed by Richard Eyre and Matthew Bourn and its script was done by Julian Fellowes. It features the music and lyrics of the original movie with some additional score.
Mary Poppins won numerous awards both at Broadway and West London and it proved to be a traditional Walt Disney success.
Story
Mary Poppins musical is a story of Banks family living at Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane; Bert, head of the family and a struggling banker trying to invest his money in some profitable project while his wife Winifred Banks thinks she is not a good mother and wife. However their biggest problem is their two uncontrollable kids, Jane and Michael; they are so rough that no nanny strays with them for longer.
Mary Poppins; the main character of the musical arrives when kids’ last nanny leaves the house and Bert in frustration throws the advertisement paper for new nanny into the fireplace not knowing Mary Poppins popped out of the burning paper.
Mary Poppins becomes very attached to the kids and so kids to her. As the story continues things start getting settled and Mr. Bert brings a big fortune to his bank. At this stage Mary Poppins says Banks family good bye and leaves them forever.

Mary Poppins musical features Ashley Brown as Mary Poppins, Gavin Lee as Bert, Megan Osterhaus as Winifred Banks, Catherine Missal as Jane and David Gabriel Lerner as Michael. Laura Michelle Kelly will resume her role as Mary Poppins from on July 19, 2011.
